Planning an Electrical Dig?
Contact Diggers Hotline First!If you're preparing to dig for any electrical project—whether it's running power to a shed, installing outdoor lighting, or trenching for a new service line—you must contact Diggers Hotline before you begin.Electrical digging often involves going deep enough to encounter buried power lines or other utilities. Accidentally hitting one isn’t just inconvenient—it’s dangerous. Hitting a live electrical line can result in serious injury, fire, or power outages.Diggers Hotline (811) makes the process simple and free. Just call or submit a locate request at least three business days in advance. A technician will come out to mark all underground utilities, including electric lines, so your project can move forward safely and legally.Safety first—always call before you dig. Note: Digger’s Hotline only locates utility lines. Private lines won’t be located. You’ll need to search for a Private line locator company.

Mike Krause
Project Manager
Mike is currently our Project Manager and has excelled in this role. Mike is a Master Electrician with over 30 years electrical experience.. Mike has been with Farkas Electric for many years. Mike has a solid work ethic and an amazing ability to flex between ‘in the field projects’ and office projects. When he tackles an estimate, for our Customers, he’s fair and honest, and that’s what we appreciate in him. Mike appreciates being in the field and seeing his estimate come to fruition.Our Team excels forward having Mike on our side.
Jacob Farkas Journeyman Electrician
Jacob Farkas has been an integral part of Farkas Electric since 2018. As a licensed Journeyman Electrician, he is continuously expanding his expertise and is well on his way to earning his Master Electrician certification.With a strong foundation in the trade, Jacob has demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and a forward-thinking approach to electrical work. His reliability, ambition, and commitment to excellence contribute greatly to the success of Farkas Electric. We are proud to have him on our team as he continues to grow in his career.
Josiah Krause Registered Electrician
Josiah has been a valued member of the Farkas Electric team since 2021. Currently on his path to becoming an Electrical Journeyman, we couldn’t be more excited for him reaching this milestone.Dedicated to mastering all aspects of the electrical trade, Josiah eagerly takes on challenges and isn’t afraid to ask the right questions.
